Caloundra Regional Gallery — Mini Makers

During selected school holidays, children aged 3–9 and their grown-ups can make art together at Caloundra Regional Gallery. All materials are provided. A parent or carer remains and participates with the child, and families need to register because session numbers are limited.

YMCA Caloundra Gymnastics

Children can take part in KinderGym, recreational or competitive gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and Ninja classes. The centre also offers school-holiday activities, birthday parties and casual Gym Play. Gym Play welcomes children from their first steps through to age 12; it must be booked, and a parent or carer accompanies the child on the equipment. Making Rainbows Sunshine Coast — Caloundra West

Babies and young children can explore music, movement, dance, sensory activities and play at Bellavista Meeting Place in Caloundra West. Mixed-age and baby-class options are listed, allowing families to look for a session suited to their child’s stage. Confirm current class times and book directly with the provider.

Mainly Music — Caloundra Uniting Church

Friday sessions combine music, morning tea and playtime for children from birth to pre-Prep during school terms. Registration starts at 9.15 am and activities run until 11 am. The listed cost is $4 per child.

Caloundra Community Centre — Supported Community Playgroups

Parents and carers can meet other families while children aged 0–5 play at the free Monday group in Caloundra. It runs during school terms from 9.30 to 11.30 am. The group is outdoors, so weather may affect a session. There is no advance registration; sign in with the facilitator when you arrive. The centre also runs a supported playgroup in Baringa.

Caloundra Community Centre — Family Support and Parenting Education

Families with young children in greater Caloundra, extending north to Buderim, can seek early-intervention and prevention support. Options include one-to-one family support, free parenting talks and courses. Programs listed by the centre include Circle of Security for ages 0–5, Tuning in to Kids for ages 5–10, Tuning in to Teens for ages 11–17 and Bringing Up Great Kids for ages 0–12. Talk Plus Allied Health Centre

Children and teenagers aged 18 months–14 years can access paediatric speech pathology, occupational therapy, early childhood teaching, therapy-assistant support and groups. Services are offered at the Caloundra practice, with some support potentially available at schools, kindergartens or by telehealth. Children can attend with or without a diagnosis.

Kids Blossom Occupational Therapy

This Caloundra-based paediatric occupational therapy provider works with children and families through clinic, home and school-based options. Support may address sensory, motor and self-regulation development. A diagnosis or referral is not required to begin, although families considering Medicare or NDIS funding eligibility may find input from a GP or paediatrician helpful.

Carers Queensland — Family Carer support
